With Online orders we can only accept major credit cards, however with phone orders we can accept credit cards, booklover points and gift cards. With instore purchases we also accept cash, Afterpay, WeChat pay and Alipay.
At The Art of Giving you can shop with confidence. Items that are faulty, unsafe or do not match their description will be refunded or exchanged where proof of purchase is provided. We are also happy to provide a refund where the goods are returned within 60 days of purchase unused, in original condition, accompanied by proof of purchase and do not fall within the exceptions * below.
If you have changed your mind or have ordered the wrong thing, the refund will be for the product price only and not the postage cost. We require that the item must be returned in original condition and packaging. The customer is responsible for the postage cost of the return.
We do not offer discretionary exchange or refunds on Stationery, Educational Study Aids, Gift Cards, Special Orders, Calendars, Diaries, Bulk Orders or Sale Items. We also do not offer discretionary exchange or refunds on CDs or DVDs where the seal or packaging is not intact.
** Any goods purchased by a customer from any Dymocks store using Afterpay must be returned to the original store of purchase only.
We post daily with Australia Post and all of our parcels are tracked. We have a rate of $5.95 for orders up to 19.95, and $8.95 between $20 and $49.95. Free standard shipping over $100 (Special at the moment over $50). Express post is also offered at a flat rate of $12.00. Once your item has been shipped you will receive a tracking or reference number via email. In the event of a parcel not being able to be delivered it will be returned to us and you will be contacted for further information.

Yes, you can choose Local Pickup when you check out.
As we are a physical store sometimes things sell in store before our inventory can be updated. In the case of this rare occurrence we will contact you and offer a substitute or a refund for the item. If no substitute is found, the refund will be processed online and you will receive email confirmation.
You can purchase physical gift vouchers with us that we can then post out to you or to your recipient or you can purchase online via the Dymocks website.
Yes you can but only for delivery in Australia and the sales will be in Australian dollars. We can ship overseas but you had best call us on +61 3 96608517 or email us on email@example.com to confirm postage and arrange.
